About
A small UK company. Not a Silicon Valley suite.
Brass is built in the United Kingdom for people who invoice for a living and do not want to become bookkeepers. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is live. The first wave is already filing. From 6 April 2027 it covers self-employed people with qualifying income over £30,000.
Most of the software on the market is either a full accounting platform or a cheap clone of the same quarterly form. Brass sits in the middle: proper books, four dates, an accountant pack. No theatre about AI agents. No fake team page.
We are not HMRC. We are not your accountant. If your affairs are messy, talk to a human with letters after their name. Brass is for the rest of the year, so January is not a shoebox.
The name is the metal, not the attitude. Books you can actually keep. A price a self-employed person can pay without a procurement meeting.
